The Wedding
A room full of witnesses. No two of them tell the same story.
Every wedding is a trial. A public contract with private consequences. A stage on which every guest performs a version of themselves, and at some point forgets the performance and becomes the thing.
The Wedding is twenty-one portraits of the people who came. The bride. The groom. The uninvited. The one who came to celebrate, the one who came to watch, the one who came because they couldn't not.
Two ensemble paintings stand outside the portraits: the dinner, the intermission. The moments where the performances slip.
