The subject

Three works · 99 editions · $25 each

This edition is about money. Old Money, New Money, and Midas, all painted this year. Three men who have it, and not one of them got away clean.

In May, the first Trade Fair settled My Brother's Keeper. Three brothers, 333 editions, and a floor where collectors traded with each other to complete the set. It sold out. August is the same room and a colder subject.

Old Money, Anthony Azekwoh, 2026

Old Money

The cap is a title, the gold is a receipt, and the wealth behind both is old enough to have a bloodline. Blood runs through the white of his beard and does not trouble him. Somebody paid for all of this.

2026 · Mixed media on canvas · Edition of 33

New Money, Anthony Azekwoh, 2026

New Money

Red, edge to edge, no horizon to stand on. He is in black, alone in the frame, wearing nothing anybody handed him. One thin line leaves the mouth and does not stop until the chest. The bleeding is his own.

2026 · Mixed media on canvas · Edition of 33

Midas, Anthony Azekwoh, 2026

Midas

The king with the golden touch, retold as a Lagos elder in white. The gold has closed the border like a frame he built himself, and then it reached his eyes. He owns everything. He sees nothing.

2026 · Mixed media on canvas · Edition of 33

How it works

  1. Choose how many. One print is $25, two are $50, three are $75.

  2. Sale closes. Friday 21 August 2026, midnight WAT.

  3. The market decides. You do not choose which work you receive. Prints are drawn at random once the sale closes, and three purchases will not build you a set.

  4. Lagos collectors. Collect at Windsor Gallery on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August. Trading starts at 2pm, and you open your box in the room.

  5. Everywhere else. Your prints ship once the floor closes on Sunday 23 August. The allocation stands. No trades, no exchanges, final sale.

One print

$36.00

One draw at the close.

Two prints

$72.00

Two draws. They may be the same work.

Three prints

$108.00

Three draws. Not three works.

A3, 29.7 × 42cm, on stretched canvas. Signed, numbered, and sent with its certificate.

The floor

On 22 and 23 August the boxes come open in the room, in front of everybody else. What the market gave you is public the moment you see it yourself.

Then the trading starts. Somebody is holding the Midas you want, you are holding the Old Money they want, and there is no price list for that. Some will walk out with the full set. Most will not.

Questions

What is The Trade Fair?

A blind drop of three new paintings about money, and two days in Lagos where the prints change hands. This is the second edition. The first was in May, for My Brother's Keeper, and it sold out.

Can I choose which work I receive?

No. In Lagos, that is what the floor is for. Trade for the work you want with whoever is holding it. If your prints are shipping to you, the draw is the draw.

How are the prints assigned?

At random, after the sale closes on Friday 21 August 2026, midnight WAT. Duplicates happen. Buying three does not guarantee the full set.

Are these the original paintings?

No. Old Money, New Money and Midas are 1/1 originals, mixed media on canvas, painted in 2026. The drop is prints of all three, signed and numbered.

What do I get?

An A3 print on stretched canvas, 29.7 by 42cm, or 11.7 by 16.5 inches. Signed and numbered, with a Certificate of Authenticity. There are 99 editions across the three works.

How do I collect?

In Lagos, at Windsor Gallery, 4C Goriola Street, Victoria Island, on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August. Trading starts at 2pm. Everywhere else, your prints ship once the floor closes on 23 August.

Can I return or exchange it?

No. Prints from the Trade Fair are final sale. The only exchange is on the floor, with another collector, on the two days.
